CHARLI EDWARDS AGE: 8 Charli attends clinics at Keilor Public Golf Course with pro Scott Wearne. At just six years of age, she tagged along to the driving range with her father Glenn and gave it her all using adult clubs. Soon she had a new set of left-handed clubs and joined the juniors of Kangaroo Plains Golf Academy. Charli and her friends Chase, Matilda, Bonnie, Ben and Coco can often be seen together playing a round of nine on any given weekend. “The best part of clinics is practising and learning with my friends. Coach Scotty makes us laugh and makes golf fun. He is very funny!” Charli said. Charli has proudly represented her school in School Sports Victoria and Golf Australia events. She recently had a win at Kooringal Golf Club to secure a place at the Medway Championships later in the year, competing against other junior golfers from around Victoria. With her favourite bright orange Cobra driver and Epic hybrid, Charli completes practice drills every day and hopes to one day follow in the footsteps of Christina Kim and Georgia Hall. CHASE PULI AGE: 8 Training under Scott Wearne at Kangaroo Plains Golf Academy since the age of six, Chase has come a long way in fine-tuning his skills on and off the course. Playing at Keilor Public Golf Course with his friends every weekend, Chase hopes to one day play alongside his golfing idol duo Jack Wilson and Rizz the Caddy. “Jack Wilson and Rizz are the best. I always look out for which cap Rizz wears and then ask mum to get me the same! My cap collection is growing.” Chase is working towards achieving his handicap and playing competition golf as a member of Keilor Golf Club. "Golf is so much fun and I love playing with my friends on the weekend. Coach Scott is the best and I learn a lot from him. I hope we all make him proud!"
