Bio Protect has recently added five new items to their list of everyday barriers and bags commonly used in dental practice. All items continue to be made from the same oxo-biodegradable material. Marie Durham, Director at Bio Protect has just returned from a trip to visit their suppliers in China. They discussed production of even more of your regular every patient hard plastic disposable and other soft plastic items, also in the oxo-biodegradable material. Delivery will be later in the year so watch this space for exciting future releases. “We are happy to be able to add to our product line. It is a lengthy process to widen our range since we need to give exact item specifications to the epi plastics manufacturers who wouldn’t normally deal in dental supplies, says Marie. “It is so important to communicate closely with our manufacturers to ensure they get it right. So far, we have many happy customers receiving our current products, and they are always asking for more.” New items included in the range now are: HRC02 – Large Head Rest Cover: Some customers find our current headrest cover too small or a bit too tight, so we have altered the size. Size 28cm W x 25cm L provides a good cover without too much excess plastic. LTHB01 – Long Triplex Handpiece cover WITH SLIT: If you are looking for a longer, slightly wider cover for your suction hose and to easily cover the wider connections on the suction hose switch area this product is twice the length of your regular Triplex Handpiece Barrier and slightly wider. Size 52cm L x 10 cm W BSC01 – Bite Stick Cover: A much less costly bite stick cover for your OPG machine. Size 8cm L x 2 cm W ZLB01 – Zip Lock Bags: An inexpensive no fuss Zip Lock Bag with multiple uses including lab work delivery, storage and more. Size 18 cm L x 18 cm W SCB01 – Samples Bag: White plastic carry handle bag for your patient take home samples and goodies. Size 25 cm L x 25 cm W All items are plain without any printing as we try our best to keep our products print free, also helping with minimising our damaging effects to the environment. “These recently added new items were already in the pipeline before our recent trip to China.
