As you know, Clear Idea magazine was created to build our sense of community and learning with feature articles, impartial (and strictly unpaid) product reviews and competitions as well as being your home of our society’s news and events. To help us further ensure that this magazine achieves its goals, we are thrilled to announce a partnership withAustralasian Dentist magazine which will help publish our biannual society magazine to a world class standard. May I first start off by wishing all of our members and their loved ones are safe and are of good health. It feels like a lifetime ago that we were all together at ACAS2020 Symposium in Sydney. Since then so much has happened and to some extent, so little has happened. I feel very grateful that we were able to hold our symposium and that our 700 plus delegates were able to experience the wonderful world of clear aligners come alive at the Sydney International Convention Centre. I am sure you can all appreciate the amount of work that happened in the background to ensure ACAS2020 could go ahead, and for that I want to extend my gratitude to the wonderful ACAS team who worked tirelessly until the last minute. Similarly, I want to extend a huge thank you to our 50+ sponsors who supported the symposium and really brought an electric atmosphere to the exhibition room – a special mention to our platinum sponsors: The Straumann group and Invisalign. I would also like to thank our world class speakers, who brought an incredible wealth of knowledge, energy and expertise to the symposium. We are honoured to have had such an eclectic mix of highly credentialed academics, international and local orthodontists, general dentists and non-dental speakers who shared the ACAS vision and ethos. Lastly, I would like to thank our members who supported us, not only at ACAS2020 but also ACAS2019. We hope you have benefitted from our society and we are excited to continue to develop our society to achieve more and achieve better. We are thrilled to announce that our online members’ portal is now live. It is an extremely valuable resource where members can find current and backdated copies of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics , all copies of Clear Idea magazine as well as ACAS webinars, podcasts and discounts for a wide range of upcoming aligner courses. Looking forward, our whole team is now working hard in the background to ensure that ACAS2021 in Melbourne is a complete success and an event that continues to uphold ACAS’ high standards. We ask for your continued support, feedback and participation in our events and publications. It is obvious that the dental community has accepted this society and want to see it flourish.
