CATEGORY AUSTRALASIAN DENTIST73 CLINICAL Total treatment time was 58 weeks (maxillary) and 50 weeks (mandibular). e nal outcome included a 2mm reduction in overjet, corrected lower alignment, midline improvement to within 1mm, and broader arches creating a fuller smile. e patient was highly satis ed with the result and is now in retention with nishing and Ecodont® retainers. is case highlights the value of careful monitoring and timely re nements in achieving both functional and aesthetic success. Treatment in progress During TP2, a midline diastema developed. By week 20, lower alignment was achieved, but closure of 11–21 created an interdental triangle due to a low contact point. IPR on 11M and 21M was performed following Dr Albert Sharp’s advice, and a second re nement (TP3) was approved. Post-treatment An improved aesthetic midline was achieved with a higher contact point, alongside a reduction in overjet and successful alignment of the previously crowded lower dentition. u TrioClear® would like to thank Dr Lauren McGuinness from Lennox Point Dental for this case submission.
