Following on from the success that was DPOC 2017 we bring you another inspirational and stimulating 2-day program to be held again at Australia’s premier function venue – the Crown Casino and entertainment Complex in Melbourne. the concept of this conference was initially conceived after discussion with owners who found that many problems and challenges within their practices and lives could be solved by sharing ideas, experiences and advice with each other. there were over 250 owners around Australia and new Zealand who attended in 2017 for the inaugural event and the feedback received following the Kahler, endodontist combine to present the Du2019 event. Day 1 will see Dr Anthony Mak discuss the topics of digital dentistry, from the single unit to the full mouth rehabilitation, and thereafter a second session on bonded aesthetic restorations in the anterior dentition. Managing patients with impaired jaw function is challenging and Professor Chris Peck will detail current concepts and approaches in the opening session. Optimal root canal preparation and obturation, the endodontic biofilm and regenerative endodontics will be considered by endodontist, Dr Bill Kahler. Oral surgeon, Dr Barbara Woodhouse is due to present the opening session on Day 2, detailing tips and tricks for Oral surgery in clinical practice. conference was phenomenal with many owners implementing the ideas learnt on the following Monday. the program for 2019 will be headlined by inspirational speakers ian thorpe (5- time Olympic gold medal winner) and Anh Do (author, comedian and artist). the program will also showcase a variety of speakers presenting topics that not only concern the everyday lives of practice owners but also delve into topics outside of dentistry which impact owners. these will be relevant to dental specialists as well.
