Category 76 Australasian Dentist PATIENT MEDICAL HISTORY Male patient, 58 years old, healthy, totally edentulous in the upper jaw and partially edentulous in the lower jaw. He was a carrier of upper total acrylic prosthesis and lower partial acrylic prosthesis. He was looking for a treatment that would give himmore comfort, quality of life and that could bring him more self-esteem in his social and professional life. PLANNING The prosthetic planning was carried out according to the assembly of the models in an articulator with facial arch, intra and extra-oral photographs, initial lower and upper impression, and respective waxing. Surgical planning was based on panoramic radiography and initial tomography, respecting the prosthetic planning. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROCEDURE Bi-maxillary surgery used the NeoArch ® concept. The medication was only started on the day of surgery. The anesthesia of both arches was performed, total flap with relief in the area of the 2nd molars and bone regularization in the upper and lower jaw. The drill sequence followed the manufacturer’s recommendation for the placement of Helix GM ® 4.0 x 18mm implants in the posterior region and the placement of Helix GM ® 4.0 x 10mm implants in the anterior region of the upper jaw. In the lower jaw, the sequence of drills also followed the manufacturer’s recommendation for the placement of a Helix GM ® 4.0 x 16 mm implants in the posterior region and the placement of Helix GM ® 4.0 x 13 mm implants in the anterior region. All implants had an insertion torque of 60N.cm . The anterior implants were all placed 2mm infraosseous and the posterior ones installed 1mm infraosseous.
