Final x-ray with the partial root crown was kept free of contact during occlusion and articulation. this temporary situation was maintained for two months to allow the implant to osseointegrate. the temporary was removed from the implant for digital impressions. the emergence and cervical profiles were nicely healed and showed adequate tissue thickness. this will prevent recession in the long term. A screwretained single crown of multilayer zirconia was produced and delivered three months after surgery. the final x-ray shows an osseointegrated implant palatal from the labial part of the root. Discussion Although partial extraction therapy can be challenging and time consuming, the use of a guide to section the root allows the treatment to be performed fast and predictably. thus, a root guide is definitely beneficial. in this case, the patient experienced one surgery for a temporary crown, followed by two more visits for the ceramic crown. u Contact: Dr. lrfan Abas Clinic Name: Tandarts Abas Address: Herenstraat 37 Bussum, HC 1404, Netherlands Tel: (+31)035 740 00 55 E-mail: irfan.abas@gmail.com Protecting Patients, Equipment and theEnvironment Formore info, pricing or to order contact Marie P | 0407837267 E | mariedurham@bio-protect.com.au W | www.bio-protect.com.au COMPARE OURPRICES ANDSAVE All our devices and barriers are included on the Register of Therapeutic Goods in Australia.
