Importantly, the delivery head can be conveniently positioned close to, or over the patient to avoid the operator having to twist or turn to reach an instrument. The newly designed A-dec 500 Continental system features unique soft, flexible ‘whip arms’ that help support the handpieces and tubing, but do not restrict movement, unlike more rigid designs. This arrangement also enables the operator to retrieve or replace a handpiece without taking their eyes off the patient, which aids concentration and avoids eye strain.
