Suction systems should be cleaned every day with the appropriate solution to remove blood and debris. Sarah Sayeeda, Head of Research and Development at Dentalife explains, “We were fortunate to be able to work with local Victorian dentists when formulating the suction cleaner. We worked together to ensure we had a product that the dental industry was asking for.” Sarah went on to say “ The local dentists were asking for a safe suction cleaner with no harsh chemicals, a solution that smelt better than what was on the market, did not foam up or leave a residue that many practices experience.” Tom Stray, General Manger of Dentalife Australia says “We are proud that we have been able to work together with local dentists to forumulate and manufacture Clinicare Suction Cleaner DW, right here in our Melbourne facility. It is especially useful for maintaining a healthy mouth after a deep clean such as tooth scalling and planing. Swirl HEX can be used as a take home oral mouth rinse recommended by dentists to assist in the treatment of gingivitis (swelling, redness, bleeding gums). Swirl HEX can also be used as a pre- procedural mouth rinse prior to any dental treatment as recommended by the ADA. The Australian Dental Association published a document “ADA Covid-19 Risk Management Guidance” last updated on 4th August 2020 that recommends the use of a 20 second pre-procedual rinse prior to the commencement of any dental treatment. This guidline was established through this Covid-19 pandemic as a way to reduce the source of contamination and possible transmission of the virus. One of the products recommended by the ADA is a a 0.2% Chlorhexidine mouth rinse like Swirl HEX. Sarah Sayeeda, Head of Research and Development says: “We all know that Chlorhexidine is a difficult flavour to mask. We worked with our internal teams, local dental practices and our distribution partners to develop a flavour that was better than other products on the market.” Swirl HEX is a ready to use mouth rinse, no additional preparation is required. It has a pleasant mint flavour and can be used before, during and after dental treatment to sanitise and assist in the maintanence of the oral cavity.
