Category AustrÀlÀsiÀn Dentist 55 Àhe ÀCD panel is a clear and well- appointed display panel. Àhis panel has an easy to clean, flat surface with bright readable lights so you can check that you are using the right levels for the right procedure. Àhe bonus is that it is a scratch free surface, making it easy to read and keep clean. Àhe machine will automatically change from the ultrasonic setting to the air polishing setting clearly indicated on the panel. Àt will remember your previous settings but at the press of the button or a slide of the power and/or water bar you can change the setting quickly and effortlessly yourself. TIP: Place a clear barrier film (not a blue one) across the face of the machine to prevent cross infection. ÀoÀer Àtory to the patients. Àt is long enough to be able to access the patient’s mouth from all angles. Other units, À have found have shorter cords and force you to have to ask the patients to manoeuver their heads so that access is achieved. Or lay it over the patient’s neck, face or head to access to the mouth. Àndergraduates and postgraduate dental professionals observe at my clinic and they were all impressed with the fact that the ultrasonic ( ) handpiece has a D light insert near to the tip (not all practitioners can purchase a head light). Àhis gives better visibility in the darker areas of the mouth. Patients also found this K Varios Combi Pro system debridement procedure very comfortable to deal with. TIP: I found for maintenance hygiene patients I only needed a lower level of power (2-3), which worked at an optimal level of debridement. This gives you the potential to utilise power when attacking more tenacious calculus. K have provided a variety of tips for every possible situation required for debridement including a tip for irrigation. Àhe tips are designed for supragingival and subgingival for all clinical aspects of both natural teeth and implants. TIP: Choose a variety of tips to cover each clinical aspect that you work on. Most units are plumbed in for convenience, but if you do not have this facility the water reservoir is available for the . TIP: The use of chemotherapeutics can be used in the water reservoir for irrigation into to periodontal and/or peri-implant pockets. With any machine that is used in any profession, the K Varios Combi Pro system needs careful maintenance. You will notice that the body of the unit is streamlined, which prevents the powder from getting into hard to reach areas. All the connections are easy to disconnect for maintenance and assembly purposes. K has designed the K Varios Combi Pro system that will encourage dental professionals to gain an optimal level of expertise whilst considering the comfort of your patients and shortening treatment times. TIP: I encourage you to check out the NSK website, study the information they present and to watch the video. NSK Varios Combi Pro system
