À have been introduced to the K Varios Combi Pro system, combining two maintenance systems into one. What we have here is a streamlined apparatus, compact with a small platform, offering a powerful but gentle technique. Àhis adds to the important practice of maintaining patients mouths to gain an optimal level of health. From the air polishing aspect, this machine comes with easily changeable units with differing powder reservoirs. Whether you are using the K Varios Combi Pro system for supra or sub gingival air polishing, the reservoirs have been designed well for quick, effortless interchange. Àhis machine also has a built-in hand piece recognition sensor, so there is no issue with too high power being administered. Àhe reservoirs have the capacity to hold enough powder to perform several air polishing procedures with very easy to read level marks. Àhis means you do not have to stop and start during the appointment to refill. NSK Varios Combi Pro system By Mary Mowbray ÀDH TIP: My advice when purging the air polishing hand pieces is to aim the tip into some gauze to collect the excess powder. TIP: Press the purge button after every patient to prevent any clogging. With regards to patient comfort and sub gingival polishing the subgingival nozzle tip is designed to follow the contours of the morphology of the root, to some degree. Once inserted, this tip then dispenses the Glycine powder at a lower pressure than the supra gingival air polisher, making the experience very comfortable for your patients. Àhe nozzle tip is designed to disperse the powder into all the contours of the periodontal pocket. TIP: Ensure you have the machine running before you insert the nozzle tip into the periodontal pocket. With regards to the supra gingival polishing: Both handpieces are ergonomically designed for the comfort of the dental professional. Àhese handpieces are lightweight and manoeuver around the mouth with ease, dispensing the powders effortlessly to remove the biofilm well. TIP: Hold the hand piece gently and have the tips do the work. This allows for a stress free ergonomic friendly procedure. Another aspect that impressed me with the K Varios Combi Pro system was the length of the cord from the unit x + = TWO Ày Before After A special release valve has been installed to release air pressure before you change the reservoirs and will not detach from the unit until the pressure has been released. Àherefore there is no threat of powder exploding everywhere. Ào time consuming mess to clean up and no having to turn the machine off and on – saving precious clinical time.
