CATEGORY 22 AUSTRALASIAN DENTIST EVENTS Implant dentistry has evolved into a predictable, evidence-based discipline, yet many general dentists remain unsure where to begin. For many clinicians, hesitation is not due to lack of interest, but concern about complications, uncertainty around where to start, and a reluctance to learn through trial and error on live patients. Implantology Foundations has been deliberately designed to provide a clear, ethical and clinically grounded entry point into beginner-level implant dentistry. Delivered by the Institute of Clinical Implantology (ICI) in partnership with Neoss, this immersive two-day program supports clinicians who want to build confidence and competence before introducing implants into everyday practice. The course follows a logical, step-bystep framework focused on sound clinical judgement rather than complexity or speed. Participants learn appropriate case selection, CBCT analysis, anatomical risk assessment, treatment planning, implant positioning and complication avoidance. Participants will develop the knowledge and practical skills required to safely place Implantology foundations Advance with Australia’s top implant educator A clear, structured and ethical entry into implant dentistry Building confidence, clinical judgement and predictable outcomes for general dentists and restore simple, low-risk single-tooth implants in everyday practice. The format also allows time for meaningful discussion and connection during the program, including a hosted cocktails, canapés and networking event on Thursday evening. The two-day program provides 14 verifiable CPD hours and is strictly limited in participant numbers to ensure close supervision, meaningful hands-on learning and direct faculty interaction – ensuring learning translates into confident clinical practice. u To view full course details and register, scan the QR code.
