New and improved Stay N Place® Lap Cushion (SP-Flex 2) The Lap Cushion made from molded dense foam with soft interior / nick resistant outer surface for added durability, provides a safe, secure, steady surface to protect the child, parent and dentist during oral exams; the comfortable platform makes infants / toddlers feel more secure when tilted back across the knees onto the laps of the dentist and parent, allowing distance between the adults. To improve accessibility, the new “shortened tampered side rails” leave more clearance for oral access whilst still protecting the child. The SP-Flex 2 also now has a removable, adjustable / flexible pillow to further assist with positioning. The SP-Flex 2 is 61 cm. long x 43.2 cm wide and good for infants up to about 18 months. Provides a secure, sturdy, and stable surface during oral assessment with raised sides & head-neck support to help keep child safely positioned. As a general guide, clinicians have reported that the Lap Board may accommodate larger toddlers as its firm construction is able to hold a heavier patient.
